our trip to the homeland...

This is probably the only blog post we'll be able to do...so I hope the enjoyment will last another 10 days ;)

We've had a great trip so far!  The flight was long, but smooth...and tal was a champ on the plane. We spent our first 24 hours in London...mostly acclimatizing...but we did manage to get out to see a few sights, check out the national gallery (we saved the tate modern for auntie gill ;)), and visit a few pubs ;).

Our next stop was st. helen's to visit nan's family.  What an amazing group of people!  It was so great to see everyone...definitely a highlight of our trip.  Auntie Beryl looks amazing...Uncle Tommy told a lot of colourful stories...and Tal LOVED him!  I think it might have been because he introduced her to his singing hampster as soon as we got there - she was hooked from that moment!  We had a great evening on Friday with nearly the entire family - it really was such a wonderful night.  We can't wait to come back fro another visit!

Next on to Blackpool.  Jay had fond memories of Blackpool as a child...his nan and grandad brought him here when he was little.  It has change quite a bit since he was 11! Beautiful views of the ocean and GREAT people watching...there are definitely some interesting characters here!

We are now headed to Edinburgh..literally...jay is down in the car as I post this!  We're going to meet up with Brode and Gem later this afternoon...and Scott and Stu tomorrow morning.  The wedding is next Saturday - so we'll have the week to explore.

We'll try to post again if we can.  Miss and love to all! xo

we'll post pics when we get home (from ontario and the uk)
