we're melting!

we are in what looks like the middle of a heat wave...it's not supposed to break for at least another week. we're trying to keep cool but it's not any easy task! this has been quite the year for extreme weather...first snow (at xmas)...and now temps at 35+...i'm convinced mother nature just pulls weather out of a hat.

no afternoon nap...and 8 months old today!

I didn't comment on the original post about tal's 8 month bday (only the regular visitors would actually know that).  Lot's of accomplishments this month...crawling, standing, eating more adventurous foods.  She is so incredibly much fun...we re very lucky and proud parents.  length and weight to come.  I'm guessing 17 lbs...and 30" long...

A lot in store for next month...a trip to Ontario with Dad and a family trip to Scotland for Brodie & Gemma's wedding.  Lot's of time in the air!

The MOPO Cup...

Yesterday was a memorial for my Grandad who past away October 23, 2008. What better way to celebrate him than a family day at the races! He would have been so proud...

Talia won her first bet in the 5th race...with 'Two Many Snows' $16.20!

We followed the races with an evening at Gill & Joe's...a great video collage by Auntie Gill...an amazing ukulele performance by Liza...and halibut cakes. What a wonderful day...

sorry it has been so long since my last post. it's been busy! my mom has been here to help me get through a very daunting to-do list (I am happy to say it has gone from 4 pages...to 1 page...phew). The next few posts will be some huglights over the last 10 days. enjoy!

When Ellee was 6 months old I took this picture of her on Canada Day 2000, on the backyard deck on Allan Drive in Bolton. Their neighbour made Ellee this Canada Day hat.
