A big hit at the German House...

We headed down to the German House yesterday with Deanna (and later Darragh) for some good old Canada vs. USA action. Sadly Canada lost...but we had fun watching. Tal was a big hit - she made lot's of new friends ;)

Belarus vs. Germany

Great hockey game tonight. Belarus won 5-3. The crowd was so much fun! Today it's Canada vs. USA - we're going to hit the German House with Darragh and Deanna to take in the action.

We had a great night out enjoying the festivities last night. It was fun to be out when Canada won another gold. Tal was a trooper...she slept on my back for most of the night with her ear muffs on...such a cutie. Thanks Michael and Taralyn...such a great gift.

Is it really the WINTER olympics?

We have had such an amazing week. We had a really nice afternoon at the beach Wednesday...and it's been warm enough to go out without jackets (although we've been trying to show our patriotic side by wearing our Canada hats and mitts ;)). The cherries are also in bloom...beautiful!

Here's a great pic of Tal & Beth - I can't say enough how lucky we are to have someone with such a wonderful heart looking after Tal. We are so lucky...Beth is such a star.

Also a few pics from Men's curling. It brought me back to the old days at the BCC (remember Ange? ;). The Canadian's cleaned up 12-5 in the 8th end...so then we started cheering for Sweden because one of the team member's parents sat nervously in front of us.

The Norwegians represent with some cool pants ...very fun night.

A very sad day yesterday...at nearly 101 people years we put mags to rest. Love and miss you...xo

Ladies 500m Speedskating...

Our Snowboard Cross tickets were cancelled (because the rain washed out the spectator area ;() so this was our first official sporting event. The oval is really cool...it's incredible how fast the athletes go. We attempted to visit the Heineken House in Richmond but even on a Monday at 4 pm the lineups were crazy - we opted out for a pub and the hockey game instead...good choice Canada won 8-0. Next up Men's Curling Thursday night...
